If I miss a poll does my listing disappear?
Nope! We use what can be loosely called a “decaying ELO rating”. Only truly absent or unsubscribed operators fall off
What is the “ELO Rating”?
This is the core function of our Pulse Check/Weekly Ping! This is the signal we track and keep our Pros active. In order to keep our listings fresh, we built in a slow “decay rate” which causes inactive pros to drop off and not be brought to the top of the list.
Why is this “a living" directory?
A question to ponder can demonstrate this need. If a business closes down, is there incentive or anyone in charge of removing that business’s digital footprint? Is it in the “strategic interest” of popular directories and search engines to vet and scour and directly contact every business?

If I check email every week do I appear at the top of the list?
Yes, based on your engagement. The most engaged will rise to the top of all city-services page they qualify for.
Can I pay for Top Spot?
At this time, engagement in the polls is our primary indicator for rank. We DO have a rollout planned for a Voluntary Paid Tier but it WILL NOT be a ranking feature.
I already see my profile up there, why bother to subscribe and check emails every week?
Our Service is Free, but unclaimed listings and dormant listings drop off and disappear over time. Our goal is to assist active Pros and Busy Homeowners come together. We have seeded our site with Professionals whom we could tell had made fresh digital footprints within the last 6 months. We continue to seed, and we will reach out to them! But it is easy to land on the 2nd page or disappear entirely if local competitors are more engaged in the FREE Pulse Check. It’s a 3 minute read, 2 single-touch poll questions, 1 time per week and zero dollars.
